Downtown Squamish businesses have turned their storefront windows into Halloween displays for the Great Halloween Window Showdown, and the public can vote for a favourite until 6 pm on Saturday, Oct. 31, according to an event listing posted on the Downtown Squamish website.
A small subscription keeps the Squamish Reporter going.
The displays were ready on Saturday, Oct. 24, when voting opened. The winner will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 1. To vote, stroll through downtown, pick a favourite display, and scan the QR code at the business or vote online through the Downtown Squamish voting page.

Thirteen businesses are taking part: Arrow Wood Games, Ashtanga Yoga Squamish, Be Clean Naturally, Dunn & More Gifts and Home Decor, Fetish for shoes, FLEURESCENT Blooms and Rentals, Gather Books and Lovely Things, Kaos Kids, Pearls Value & Vintage, Random & Co, Scandinavia Wolf Designs, Stongs Market, and The Copper Coil.
The event follows the success of the 2025 showdown and is back for 2026. It is free and open to all ages, and the event listing says it is a chance to discover local shops, support Squamish businesses, and enjoy the Halloween atmosphere downtown.
