Drugs and drug paraphernalia has been found on school grounds in Squamish—yet again.
Police said on two separate instances over the past week, school staff found a small quantity of drugs and some drug paraphernalia on school grounds.
Police didn’t specify the school where the drugs were found.
RCMP said it continues to work with schools and SD48 to maintain public safety. The police is also encouraging parents to provide guidance to their children about what to do if they find drugs on campus.
In June this year, Squamish RCMP had found three small bags of suspected methamphetamine in Squamish elementary school.
The drugs were found on a bench near Squamish Elementary School.
Police attended the area where the drugs were reportedly found but didn’t find any more drugs or drug paraphernalia. Drugs have been found on or near school property in previous years as well.
Police is asking the public to notify the police immediately if drugs are found.
