Extreme avalanche danger warning for Sea to Sky

January 2, 2020 6:10pm

Avalanche Canada has issued a very rare extreme avalanche danger for the Sea to Sky region.

Avoid all avalanche terrain on Friday as large destructive avalanches will be widespread.

Natural and human-triggered avalanches are certain, with large to very large avalanched in many areas.

Other regions in BC will also see an increase in avalanche danger as another storm hits the province.

“Be sure to make smart choices tomorrow and into the weekend.”
