Squamish RCMP is seeking public’s help in finding information about two separate alleged thefts of two similar style trucks.
The thefts occurred over the holidays.
Police were called when the first truck owner returned home after Christmas to discover their truck gone. The dually truck, a red 1996 Dodge Ram, was parked at Bailey Street and Summits View Drive between December 23 and December 25.
Police were called to a second alleged theft of truck report that happened on January 1, 2020 between 2:30 am and 10 am. This truck is a 1995 Dodge Ram 250, has large grey stripes along the side and back and black running boards.
This truck was parked in the 38000 block of Eaglewind Blvd near Pemberton Avenue from where police say it was stolen.
“While we are out there conducting proactive patrols, we encourage the public to keep their eyes and ears open and to alert us if they see or hear anything suspicious. We can work together with the community to deter this type of crime” says Acting Operations Sgt. Damien Maille.
Squamish RCMP continue to investigate both alleged truck thefts. If anyone has information about either of these thefts, please call Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100 and quote file #2019-8057 or #2020-6. If you wish to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
