The Squamish Street Market is moving to a new, better location in Downtown Squamish for 2020.

Now in its third year, this monthly Sunday event will be held on Cleveland Avenue between the rainbow cross walk on Victoria Street and the Rotary Clock on Winnipeg Street.

The street market showcases vendors, food trucks, local craft beer and cider, music, entertainment, live art in the park and car show in the heart of Downtown Squamish.

The road will be closed to traffic and animated with vendors, food trucks, beer garden, car show, music and entertainment.

“We are very excited about this change” says Bianca Peters, President of BP Communications which has produced the event since 2018.

“We believe this move will be a huge benefit for our vendors and sponsors, supporting economic development while drawing tourists and the community to downtown.”

The Downtown Squamish BIA agrees as well.

“The Board voted unanimously to provide our support to the Squamish Street Market to close the main block of Cleveland Avenue between Victoria and Winnipeg Street for the three dates,” says Edward Archibald, President of the Downtown Squamish BIA.

“This is a real opportunity to provide vibrancy and a draw to Downtown Squamish which can typically be a quiet Sunday.”

The street market kicks off on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21 from 12 PM- 5 PM. Registration is now open to vendors, food trucks, and sponsors. To date, title sponsors include Norman Rudy’s, Fortis BC and WLNG.
