The family of Ava Grace Gnanaprakasam, the toddler killed in the tragic accident last Friday, are thanking the community for the outpouring of affection, love, prayers and support.

The family said it would also like to thank, from the bottom of their hearts, the community of Squamish, for the outpouring of affection, love, prayers and support, their church family at The Rock Church, as well as the generous GoFundMe donations to support them at this difficult time.

The family said they wish to acknowledge and thank all of the first responders from paramedics and police, to victim services, doctors and nurses at Squamish Emergency and Hospital.

A private Celebration of Life for Ava will be held at Squamish Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 6 at 12 pm. A private internment will follow at Mount Garibaldi Cemetery after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Squamish Hospital Foundation BN: 892297888RR0001 would be appreciated, the family said.

“Ava’s life came full circle at the Squamish Hospital from her birth to passing. We would like to acknowledge the importance of this facility to our family and our community and to help support their growth and ability to serve all of us,” the family said.
