RCMP have arrested a Nanaimo man and charged him with several child pornography offences.
29-year-old Tori Bruce Schild of Nanaimo was arrested by police for possession, downloading and distribution of child pornography on February 27.
Police have been investigating him since May 2018, which led to a search warrant for his home. Police said they sezied certain items which led to Schild being charged.
The investigation was the result of information provided by British Columbia Integrated Child Exploitation Unit.
No local victims were identified.
Following his arrest, Schild appeared in Nanaimo Provincial court and was released on conditions. His next court appearance has been set for Tuesday March 10.
