Squamish RCMP is reminding the community to call the police from a safe distance if anyone sees a theft in progress.
The reminder comes after a man used a child to steal two expensive coats from a Squamish outdoor store. Police didn’t name the store or the area in which the thefts occurred.
Squamish RCMP said the suspect used a young child to hide the coats, and then walked away with the coats without paying.
The stolen coats were worth $700 and $800. The thefts happened on February 14 and 19.
If you have information regarding this, please call the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-61000, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or go to their website www.solvecrime.ca.
