Squamish RCMP seeks witnesses to theft and car fire

staff report
April 11, 2020 4:38am

Squamish RCMP are seeking witnesses to the theft of a car that was later set on fire.

On March 29, the Squamish RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 1000 block of Centennial Way.

Police believe the vehicle was stolen on March 28 or March 29. The vehicle, a red 2002 Subaru Impreza, was located on April 2 in a parking lot in the 39000 block of Government Road.

The vehicle was discovered because a citizen called to report a car on fire. Police are now looking for any witnesses to the theft and the fire.

If you have any information, please call the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to the website www.solvecrime.ca.
