Squamish RCMP are once again asking people to not come to Squamish Valley area.

Police said they have put roadblocks in place, but there is still lot of traffic coming into the area.

“Roadblocks in place but we are having loads of traffic coming up,” Squamish RCMP said.

“Please do not come by car, bike, or foot. Spot fires everywhere and equipment needs to come in. Fire is very active heading over the ridge southeast,” Squamish RCMP said.

Squamish Valley evacuees requiring emergency accommodation should go to the Executive Suites Hotel at 40900 Tantalus Road.

Hotel reception will check people in after confirming their permanent address in the Upper Squamish Valley.
