A local citizen is once again inviting the community to be part of the front porch photography sessions as a way to raise funds for the Squamish Food Bank.
Rachel Ray Krumme’s earlier call to local photographers on social media was answered by three local photographers, who agreed to take pictures and donate the funds to the food bank.
Angela Bliss of Angela Bliss Photography, Paula Munro Owen of Paula Owen Photography and Vairdy Frail of Vairdy Photography raised $6,000 for the Squamish Food Bank.
Now Krumme is again inviting locals to take part in front-porch sessions on June 25 to benefit the food bank.
Three local photographers have now stepped up to take pictures. Sarah Ciszkowski, Amanda Plamer and Sara King have agreed to take front porch pictures.
“This will not only help raise money to support our local food bank but will also provide people with a fantastic family photo as a ‘thank you’ for the generous donation,” Krumme says.
For a minimum donation of $75, a family will receive two images and an option to purchase more. Each session will last 10 minutes.
Citizens can directly make a $75 donation to the food bank, mentioning that the donation is for the photoshoot fundraiser.
Once a donation has been made, the family can then send a copy to the photographer to confirm the session.
Krumme requests that families don’t make the donations anonymously as this is the only way to track donations.
Sara Ciszkowski will be covering the Highalnds area and can be booked at https://bookaphotosession.as.me/
Amanda Palmer will be covering the Downtown and Valleycliffe area and can be booked at https://heyamanda.as.me/
Sarah King will be covering the Brakendale area and can be booked at https://sarakingfrontporch.as.me/
All social distancing requirements and regulations will be strictly adhered to. “Thank you again Squamish for always being ready and willing to serve and rally,” Krumme said.
