District of Squamish has received an application for a mixed-use building at the Corsa Cycle site and the parking lot next to it on Cleveland Avenue.
The application is under review at the district.
The proposal aims to rezone the site from its Downtown Commercial zoning to a Comprehensive Development zone.
The rezoning would allow a six-storey building with two levels of commercial and parking, and four levels of residential units above.
A total of 50 units are being proposed.
The district is presently looking at several development applications on Cleveland Avenue.
It is presently processing a development permit application to allow for one commercial building on Cleveland and Bailey St and two residential apartment buildings spanning the north east side of Bailey St.
The district is also processing a development permit application for a two-building mixed-use development on 37781 Cleveland Avenue.
A Squamish entrepreneur has also applied to rezone land on Cleveland Avenue to build a four-storey hotel in Downtown Squamish. A 32-to-48-hotel is being proposed at 37773 Cleveland Avenue.
