Squamish RCMP investigating a hit and run on Highway 99

Squamish RCMP are investigating a hit and run on Highway 99.

On June 28, at about 6 pm, a driver was driving south on Highway 99 at Cleveland Avenue when he was rear ended by a pickup truck.

The driver didn’t stop, and RCMP are investigating the incident.

Police are also investigating another hit and run on June 25, when a driver side swiped a car parked in a parking lot and caused significant damage to the car. The driver was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to exchange information.

Break and Enter ​​

On June 23, between 4:30 pm and 8:30 am, unknown suspects committed a break, enter, and theft from a building at 3295 Mamquam Road. Two chainsaws and a drill was stolen, valued at about $1,000.

Mountain bikes stolen

On June 25, just before 5 pm, a resident reported having two mountain bikes stolen from the garage in the 40000 block of Government Road.

The first bike is a green and beige LIV HAIL, and the second a blue and orange Knolly Warden.
