Squamish RCMP have suspended a driver’s licence for 90 days and impounded her car for a month after she failed two breathalyzer tests.
Squamish RCMP found the woman, drunk and injured, along the Mamquam Forest Service Road.
Squamish RCMP said their investigation revealed the driver had been drinking and driving and failed two approved screening device breath samples.
The Immediate Roadside Prohibition program is one of the tools used by police to remove impaired drivers off roadways and keep the community safe, said Sgt. Sascha Banks of Squamish RCMP.
Boat Theft
The theft took place on July 2, at about 3:40 pm, when a resident discovered that their inflatable boat secured on a trailer were gone.
The boat is a 14-foot inflatable with center console, and boat’s motor is a 40 horse power black Mercury outboard.
