Collision shuts down Highway 99; expect major delays

Drive BC is alerting people to expect major delays because of a collision that closed Highway 99 in both directions approximately an hour ago.

The collision happened between Daisy Lake Rd and Retta Lake Road, about seven kilometres south of Whistler.

Emergency crews are responding to the accident and assessment is in progress.

The estimated time of opening is not available.

Drive BC will issue the next update in the next half-an-hour.
