An employee at the Hector’s Your Independent Grocery Store in Garibaldi Estates has tested positive for COVID-19, Loblaws has announced.
“Team member tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day the team member worked was on September 23,” the company said.
“We are committed to being transparent with our colleagues and our customers, and have all of our cases listed on our corporate website,” the company said.
“Following all presumed positive cases at each location, the stores conducted additional cleaning, and worked closely with the local Public Health teams. Any employees who may have been directly exposed are home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms,” Loblawa said.
Real Canadian Super Store in North Vancouver, Shoppers Drug Mart at the Shops at Mission Hills, and Dave’s No Frills in Dawson Creek are other Loblaw-managed stores where employees have tested positive for COVID-19.
