In both instances the vehicles had been left unlocked.

Thieves frequently walk the streets at night checking door handles to find unlocked vehicles,” said Sgt. Sascha Banks.

“This is a very common crime in Squamish and the police are strongly encouraging people to lock up their vehicles, Banks said.
