Police search for Jeep stolen from Valleycliffe

Squamish RCMP are looking for a jeep that was stolen from Valleycliffe on September 28.

On September 28, at 11:17 am, Squamish RCMP received a report of the stolen vehicle from the 1000 block of Arbutus Drive.

The vehicle is a black 2010 Jeep Patriot, and the license plate is 099WHN.

Anyone who sees this vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately.

On September 25, at 8 pm, Squamish RCMP also received a report of a stolen bike. It is described as a women’s gray and green specialized bike with purple pedals.

Theft from vehicles

On September 28, Squamish RCMP received two separate reports of theft from vehicles in Valleycliffe.

In both instances the vehicles had been left unlocked.

Thieves frequently walk the streets at night checking door handles to find unlocked vehicles,” said Sgt. Sascha Banks.

“This is a very common crime in Squamish and the police are strongly encouraging people to lock up their vehicles, Banks said.
