Drunk Surrey woman bites Whistler cop

Staff report
October 11, 2020 11:32am

An inebriated Surrey woman was held by Whistler RCMP after she assaulted and bit one of the officers before she was taken into custody.

On October 4, at approximately 4:30 pm, Whistler RCMP was notified that two women had left a restaurant in the 4200 Block of Mountain Square without paying the bill.

The women were also becoming aggressive with staff and bystanders.

When police detained them, the 32-year-old woman from Surrey became combative with police, assaulting and biting the officer.

Both women were taken to the Whistler Detachment and were kept there until they were sober and able to care for themselves.

Police are continuing to investigate this incident and are asking if anyone had any interactions with these two people or perhaps recorded the event.

Whistler RCMP can be contacted at 604-932-3044 or Crimestoppers if you wish to remain anonymous.
