Heavy rain in forecast for Squamish

Heavy rain is expected tonight and Tuesday for Howe Sound, the North Shore, and northeastern Metro Vancouver.

50 to 60 mm of rain is expected to fall by Tuesday afternoon.

A series of frontal systems continue to bring periods of rain to the south coast of BC South today.

Rain will intensify this evening as the next system approaches.

Rain at times heavy will continue through Tuesday and will ease Tuesday night.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
