Squamish RCMP are investigating after a car was stolen from Downtown Squamish.
On January 6, a car parked along the 1200 block of Village Green Way was stolen between 6 and 8:30 pm.
The vehicle is a 2014 Grey Volkswagon Jetta with BC license plate 207MNG.
On January 6, someone stole the front and rear licence plates off a black Honda Civic that was parked along the 38000 block of Fourth Avenue.
In another incident, rear licence plates were stolen from a grey Pontiac Wave parked near Cleveland and Main Streets on January 7.
Over the past number of weeks Squamish has seen a spike in property related offences including theft from vehicles and theft of vehicles, said Sgt. Sascha Banks of Squamish RCMP.
“We are working to identify those who are responsible for such incidents. We rely on the help of the community to inform us of anyone or any vehicles which seem suspicious around neighbours or other areas,” she said.
