Squamish woman wins $150,000 on Scratch & Win ticket

Staff report

Every year around the holidays Lenora Bousfield has a tradition of purchasing a Holiday Gift Pack of Scratch & Win tickets.

This season, it landed her $150,000.

The Squamish resident purchased the tickets from Save-On-Foods on Pemberton Avenue and was at home when she scratched the gift pack and realized she was a winner.

“I got to the last ticket and it was the Holiday Gold,” she recalled.

“While I was scratching it, I noticed that the number 24 came up and I couldn’t believe it. I had to keep looking the ticket over and over since I was in complete shock.”

Bousfield couldn’t wait to share the news with her daughter, who helped her check her ticket on the BCLC Lotto! app.

“I feel nervous and excited, all at the same time,” she added.

Bousfield plans to put some of her prize towards home repairs and will put the rest away for travel, when it’s safe to do so.
