Rainfall warning in effect for Squamish

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Howe Sound.

A frontal system laden with subtropical moisture will move across B.C. South Coast today through Monday morning.

Rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm can be expected today through tonight.

Over Howe Sound and eastern sections of Lower Fraser Valley, steady rain will persist today and become heavy this evening.

The heavy rain will taper off overnight over Howe Sound and early Monday morning over eastern Fraser Valley.
