Police in North Vancouver have issued an appeal to public after a missing woman’s belongings were found in the Heywood park area of the city.

North Van RCMP are seeking public’s help in locating 35-year-old Fatemeh Abdolali, missing since February 26.

Abdolali was last seen around 12:20 pm on February 26, near Marine Dr. and Capilano Road in North Vancouver.

Some of her items have been found in Heywood Park area, near Marine Dr. and MacKay Avenue.

Police say the items were found shortly after she was reported missing.

“We’re asking that anyone who was in the area of Heywood Park around noon on February 26, or walking along Marine Dr. between Capilano Rd. and Mackay Avenue and remembers seeing someone fitting Ms. Abdolali’s description, please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Roth in the missing person unit, at 604-985-1311. Anyone who believes they see Ms. Abdolali is asked to immediately call 911.

Abdolali is described as:

35 years old

Long, dark hair

Brown eyes

5’3″ tall

Wearing:

Light pink sweater

Grey/white walking shoes

Carrying a black shopping bag

Investigators have gathered video footage from the area, and completed various investigational steps in their efforts to locate her.

However, they have been unable to find her despite extensive search of the area, and police are asking for the public’s help.

“We are concerned but we’re certainly not losing hope,” said DeVries. “We will continue to do everything possible to find her.”

Do we have another Clifford Olsen in the area…. ??? come on people in charge, drop a coffee break or two and get into the climate of the day. Too many women disappearing in the darkness as of late … start thinking out of the box and departing from the old standard…. it is a new world with new deviates …. that is the reason you took on the badge, not just to work in your tenure for the lucrative pension …. yes it is a hard egg to crack, but who else has the tools to do the job.
