BC’s Police watchdog, the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of BC, is investigating an incident in Squamish.
On March 9, 2021, at approximately 6:30 pm, police responded to a call for assistance at a home on Stawamus Road.
While police were at the residence, a woman sustained an injury.
She was transported to hospital for treatment.
The IIO will investigate to determine what role, if any, police action or inaction may have played in the woman’s injury.
