Five sailings cancelled next week

Staff report
April 7, 2021 11:16am

BC Ferries has cancelled five sailings to allow the Queen of Capilano to undergo necessary repairs overnight on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

As a result, a foot-passenger-only water taxi will be in service.

The water taxi leaves Horseshoe Bay at 9 pm and 10 pm, and leaves Bowen Island at 8:30 pm, 9:30 pm, and 10:30 pm.

Please note that there is no charge for the water taxi during this time.

The water taxi will depart from the Government dock adjacent to Snug Cove terminal, and customers will be given directions to the water taxi, when they arrive at the foot passenger booth in Horseshoe Bay.

Only customers with a mandatory face covering will be allowed to board the water taxi.

Parking will be complimentary for customers traveling by water taxi after the 6:50 pm sailing.

A temporary parking pass must be obtained from the terminal customer service office in lieu of payment at the Impark machines.

Parking is only permitted in the surface parking lot and a temporary parking pass must be displayed on the vehicle dash to avoid a ticket.

Regular scheduled sailings will resume on Sunday, April 18 as with the 5:50 am departure from Horseshoe Bay.
