Squamish RCMP issued a 90-day roadside prohibition to a drunk driver in town and impounded the car the driver was travelling in.
On April 20, while patrolling, Squamish RCMP officer pulled over a car driver, and determined that the driver was impaired.
The officer issued the driver an immediate roadside driving prohibition for 90 days under the Motor Vehicle Act.
The driver’s car was impounded for 30 days, and the driver will also need to pay administrative penalties and a licence re-instatement fee.
Mailbox broken into
On April 22, Squamish RCMP investigated complaint of a Canada Post lockbox that got broken into sometime overnight in the 1900 block of Garibaldi Way.
Unknown persons caused damage to the lockbox, but did not steal anything.
