Collision on Sea to Sky Highway sends one to hospital

One person was taken to hospital after an accident yesterday evening on the Sea to Sky Highway.

The injured person is said to be in stable condition in the hospital.

The accident happened around 7 pm near Porteau Cove.

Sarah Morris, media relations for BC Emergency Health Services said they received a call at 7 pm last night for a two vehicle collision on Highway 99 at Porteau Cove.

A paramedic unit was dispatched to the scene, where one patient was cared for and transported to hospital in stable condition.

Drive BC informs residents that utility work is being planned between Nicklaus North Blvd and Nancy Greene Drive for 1.9 kilometer in Whistler.

The work starts on Monday, May 31 at 8 am and will continue until Friday, June 4, at 3 pm. Right lane will be closed.
