Tree pruning on Highway 99 in Squamish; expect delays

Tree pruning work on both directions on Highway 99 will lead to delays in Squamish.

Tree pruning work will take place between Stawamus Chief Provincial Park and Mamquam Road for 7 kilometers in Squamish.

This work will take place from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Left lane is blocked, and drivers can expect delays.

Bridge maintenance is also between Alice Lake Road and Callaghan Valley Road for 23.7 kilometers.

This work, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, will continue until May 13.

Rock scaling between Porteau Cove Road and Porteau Cove also continues until Thursday May 13, from 9 pm to 6 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Single lane alternating traffic. Watch for traffic control, and expect delays.

    Lease Government Rd Mamquam to the movie folks and prune the alternate route during the same period …. hopefully everyone is abiding to Covid restrictions and will not cause a problem … but sometimes makes one wonder who makes the decisions.

    Very good use of tax dollars. But district doesn’t have funding sidewalks.
