Squamish RCMP are investigating after thieves smashed a car window to steal a bike in Downtown Squamish.
The bike theft happened from a car parked in the 38000 block Summit View Drive.
Thieves smashed the car’s rear window to enter the car and take a grey Specialized full-suspension Enduro mountain bike with black MEC handle bars.
The bike is valued at about $1,000.
Break and enter
On May 17, Squamish RCMP investigated a break-and-enter and theft at a local business that happened sometime before 9 am in the 39000 block of Government Road.
Thieves stole a 250-foot welding cable. The file remains under investigation.
Jeep stolen from Government Road
On May 16, Squamish RCMP investigated a car theft that happened sometime last week.
The owner of a brown 1990 Jeep YJ parked in the 39400 block of Government Road reported that their car had been stolen.
The same owner also had the ignition to their 2019 Polaris Ranger, parked adjacent to the Jeep, tampered with.
The file remains under investigation.
