District issues bid to replace water feature at Brennan Park

The District of Squamish has issued an RFP (requst for proposals) to replace the water feature at the Brennan Park pool.

This project involves draining the main pool completely and removing the existing umbrella water feature with associated concrete.

New supporting concrete, reinforcements and new water feature will be also be installed by the chosen contractor.

The project also involves removing and reinstating one pool water inlet that is raised above surrounding pool floor tiles.

The district is also working on a project to remove and replace the emergency stairs at Brennan Park. The project was started in 2021 and has progressed to the point that the formwork is in place for the footings.

The district also has an RFP out for qualified refrigeration contractors to meet Technical Safety BC’s safety orders related to secondary refrigerant and emergency discharge line.
