Grand Wall area at the Stawamus Chief closed to public

The Grand Wall climbs and area at the base of the Stawamus Chief Provincial Park is closed until further notice.

BC Parks has implemented the temporary closure as a result of a significant rockfall event that took place on Sunday, June 27.

The Grand Wall Area, including all trails and bouldering beneath the Grand Wall, is closed until the area can be assessed for hazard.

The rock fall event happened yesterday around 4 pm.
