A collision between two cars on Highway 99 claimed a local youth’s life and injured four others.

The accident happened on June 28, at about 10:45 pm on Highway 99 north of Alice Lake.

Squamish RCMP said the initial police investigation indicated the collision had taken place between a car with three Squamish youths and a van with one occupant.
