Truck stolen from Garibaldi Highlands

staff report
July 7, 2021 11:31am

Squamish RCMP are investigating a complaint of theft of truck in the 40000 block of Skyline Drive in Garibaldi Highlands.

The theft happened on July 1, between 2 am and 8 am. Thieves stole a 2008 white Toyota Tundra with white canopy and roof racks.

Over the last one month, Squamish RCMP have also investigated several complaints of thefts of catalytic converters from vehicles.

Thieves typically cut the converter from a car then sell it for its metals.

To prevent these types of thefts, police are encouraging people to park their vehicles where they can be seen, consider an enhanced security system.

Squamish RCMP also encourages locals to check that all vehicle parts are in working order, and to report any suspicious activity to police.
