Squamish RCMP issued a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition for a drunk driver on Paradise Valley Road.
On July 20, Squamish RCMP investigated an impaired driver along Paradise Valley Rd.
The driver crashed into a ditch and then tried to walk away from the scene to evade police.
Officers determined the driver was impaired by liquor and should not have been driving. Under the Motor Vehicle Act, the officer issued the driver a 24-hour driving prohibition, a 90-day driving prohibition, and impounded the driver’s truck.
No one was injured, and the driver’s truck did not sustain any damage.
In another incident, on July 24, Squamish RCMP investigated a report of fraud about unknown persons using the complainant’s name to open bank accounts online and then obtain bank cards.
The complainant contacted Equifax and the banks and changed the passwords to stop the fraud from continuing.
Squamish RCMP also investigated a theft of catalytic converter from a 2000 Ford Ranger that happened between dates July 14 and 20, from the 1300 block Victoria St.
