Construction notice for Downtown Squamish

Staff report
August 20, 2021 9:56am

District of Squamish has issued a construction notice in Downtown Squamish.

Paving work will take place on Buckley and Cleveland Avenue starting Monday, August 23 until Tuesday, August 31.

To minimize traffic disruption, most of the work will be completed overnight from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Expect five to 20-minute delays during these work hours.

Please note only right turns from Buckley Avenue and Hunter Place onto Cleveland Avenue will be permitted. No left turns or through movement will be available 24 hours a day.

Construction is set to begin on August 16 to convert the Eaglewind tennis courts into six pickleball courts.

The courts will re-open and be ready for play at the end of August, weather permitting.

Five community tennis courts remain open and available for public use, four at Brennan Park Recreation Centre and one at The Boulevard.
