Squamish RCMP arrest woman for impaired driving

On August 17, 2021, at about 3 am, Squamish RCMP investigated a complaint of impaired driving in the community.

Officer located the driver and arrested her for impaired driving. She refused to provide breath samples, which will be added to her charges.

Police released the woman once she was sober. She will be attending court soon.

Hit and Run

On August 20, 2021, at about 5 pm, a resident driving a grey Toyota Tacoma in the 1800 block of Mamquam Road  was rear-ended by a person driving a grey Toyota car.

Under the Motor Vehicle Act, drivers in accidents need to stop and exchange contact information, Squamish RCMP reminds.

In this case, the driver of the car did not stop or provide information.
