On September 21, just after midnight, Squamish RCMP received a report of a man at a construction site who was hooking up his uninsured trailer for transport.
Police gave the man a verbal warning about the consequences of driving uninsured.
However, the man decided to tow the trailer anyway.
Officers located the man towing the trailer on Highway 99, and issued him a violation ticket for no insurance and towed the trailer under the Motor Vehicle Act.
Last week, Squamish RCMP issued an immediate roadside prohibition to a drunk driver.
On September 26, at about 8 pm, Squamish RCMP investigated a report of impaired driving when they stopped two men who had left a local pub after drinking.
The driver had consumed an amount of liquor that didn’t make him fit to drive safely. He failed impaired driving tests and under the Motor Vehicle Act, he was issued a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition. His car was also impounded.
