Police nab impaired driver on Highway 99

An impaired driver was issued a 90-day immediate roadside driving prohibition by Squamish RCMP.

On November 25, Squamish RCMP received a report of an impaired driver at Highway 99 and Commercial Way.

Police say the driver refused to provide breath samples.

The driver’s car was impounded by Squamish RCMP and the driver was issued an immediate roadside prohibition.

On November 25, Squamish RCMP received a report of a car accident at the intersection of Pemberton Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.

The car hit a light pole and the injured driver was transported by ambulance to Squamish Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police continue follow up with this investigation.
