Special weather statement for Howe Sound, Sea to Sky Highway

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Howe Sound and the Sea to Sky Highway. A frontal disturbance advancing from the south will spread rain mixed with snow over the region beginning late Tuesday afternoon.

Significant snowfall amounts are also possible Tuesday night over Howe Sound, the Sea to Sky Highway and eastern sections of the Fraser Valley.

The statement is also in effect for Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Sunshine Coast, East Vancouver Island, and Inland Vancouver Island.

Freezing rain is also possible over eastern sections of the Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley as well as Inland Vancouver Island. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
