The Squamish Public Library is aiming to open during the week of January 24. The library has been closed since mid-December for renovations.
The library is being painted as of now and the new furniture is arriving. The newly-renovated library will include a new feature wall, highlighting new and recommended titles, a new central service desk, a new public computer area.
A permanent exterior take-out window for quick access from the parking lot, and improvements to staff work area is also proposed.
“We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and can’t wait to open our doors to the community again and welcome everyone into a freshly renovated library soon,” the library said.
Items from the library are available via the take-out service and staff will be working behind the scenes to assist locals, answer questions, find alternative services and help with anything while library building is closed.
The library staff can be contacted via phone at 604-892-3110.
