Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Howe Sound.
Strong outflow winds tonight into Tuesday morning can be expected in the southern sections of Howe Sound including Bowen Island. The high wind starts tonight and will continue into Tuesday morning.
Strong outflow winds are expected over Howe Sound as an Arctic ridge of high pressure settles over interior B.C. Southern sections of Howe Sound will see the strongest outflow winds reaching 70 km/h with gusts to 90 km/h.
Strong winds will ease late Tuesday morning as the pressure gradient weakens. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
