Police seek info about theft from vehicles in Valleycliffe

Staff report
March 3, 2022 11:25am

Squamish RCMP are seeking information related to theft from vehicles in Valleycliffe. On February 27, Squamish RCMP received three separate reports of vehicles that had been broken into in the neighbourhood.

The thefts from the vehicle took place in the 38000 block of Chestnut Ave and the 2000 block of Maple Drive between the night of February 26 and the early morning of February 27.

On February 24, Squamish RCMP were proactively conducting impaired driving enforcement when an officer observed a vehicle driving with signs of impairment.

The officer stopped the vehicle and conducted a road side breath test, which the driver failed. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days and the driver’s licence was suspended. The driver was released on paperwork and was picked up by a family member.

Anyone with any information regarding the above files are asked to contact the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to the website www.solvecrime.ca
