A driver on the highway was arrested by Squamish RCMP for obstructing police investigation.
On March 10, police was conducting safety enforcement on Highway 99 when an officer received an alert from his Automatic Licence Plate Recognition system about a potential prohibited driver.
When the officer stopped the vehicle, the driver gave a false name. The driver was arrested for obstruction of a police investigation and driving while being prohibited from doing so.
The vehicle was impounded and the driver left the area on a taxi.
