The next District of Squamish election will be held on Saturday, October 15, and residents will vote to elect a mayor, six councilors, and two school board trustees.
To vote, a person must be over 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen, a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the day of registration. The voter must be a resident of the municipality, and must not be disqualified by law. Residents can visit the Elections BC website to register for the General Municipal Election.

The District of Squamish is responsible for conducting its own election, with Council appointing a Chief Election Officer to ensure the process is run in accordance with the Local Government Act.
