Squamish RCMP are searching for witnesses after a parked vehicle was damaged after being hit by a speeding truck.
On March 31, 2022 a witness observed a late 2000’s model grey Nissan Frontier with an aluminum rack reverse at a high speed into the front end of a parked vehicle.
There was significant damage to the parked vehicle, and the suspect vehicle was observed to have damage to the tail light.
Other witnesses noticed the grey Nissan Frontier drive around Quest University before the incident, though Squamish RCMP didn’t specify where this incident happened. Anyone who witnessed this incident or recognizes the suspect’s vehicle is asked to call Squamish RCMP.
Several vehicles ticketed
On March 29, 2022, officers were conducting speed enforcement southbound on Highway 99 when they stopped several vehicles travelling between 124 km/ hr and 141 km/hr in an 80 km/ hr zone.
All vehicles were impounded and the drivers were issued tickets amounting to $368 and $483 respectively.
