Squamish Lions Club thanks community for successful paper-shredding event

Staff report
April 27, 2022 6:51am

The Squamish Lions Club is thanking the community for being part of a successful paper-shredding event. The event was held on April 23 with the help of Lions Club members from the Lower Mainland.

Every year, the Lions Club organises the event and invites local residents to shred sensitive documents. The funds will help families who need financial assistance to send their children the Squamish Easter Seals Camp, a summer camp for children and adults with diverse abilities.

“We had a very successful event with many people coming to shred sensitive legal and medical documents and the funds support a great cause as well. It’s paper-shredding for a cause,” said Nelson Winterburn, a member of the club and former president.

The Lions would like to thank the community for making this event a success and look forward to organising another event next year as well.
