Staff report
May 5, 2022 3:34pm

The popular Splash Park at the Shipyards in North Vancouver will open in time for the May long weekend from 10 am to 8 pm, daily until September 5.

Visitors are welcome to pack a lunch and enjoy the water views from one of the picnic tables, or purchase food at any of the restaurants or shops located in The Shipyards. , says the City of North Vancouver.

A popular year-round destination in Lower Lonsdale, The Shipyards offers opportunities for the community to gather, play and socialize alongside the beautiful waterfront views.

“We all love The Shipyards because there is something for everyone,” said Mayor Linda Buchanan. “The past two years has highlighted the importance of vibrant and animated outdoor public spaces for people. That’s why the City is gearing up for a busy summer season on our waterfront. Concerts, markets, food trucks, art installations, and more, will make The Shipyards and surrounding community the place to be this summer. We look forward to welcoming you!”

There will be other events this summer as well such as The Shipyards Live, Fall for Local, The Garden Beer Market, noon hour music, outdoor movie nights, an artisan market and more.

“With sizzling performances, farm fresh food and ways to connect with neighbours, there’s something for everyone to enjoy from July to September,” CNV adds.
