Lillooet RCMP responded to several complaints of public intoxication last week.
On May 4 at 10 pm, police responded to a report of a man who was intoxicated and had fallen asleep on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of Main Street. Police located the 53-year-old and found him heavily intoxicated. The man was incoherent and staggering when he tried to stand. He was arrested and transported to Lillooet cells to safely sober up.
On May 6, at 12 pm, officers observed multiple beer cans on a picnic table with several people around. Police spoke with the people and found they had paper cups filled with Old Milwaukee. All the open alcohol containers including paper cups were poured out.
On May 6, at 3:30 pm, Lillooet RCMP located an intoxicated man asleep on a bench in the 600 block of Main St. The 51-year-old man was taken to the station so he could sober up.
On May 6, a woman reported an intoxicated man sleeping on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of Main St. Lillooet RCMP attended and located a heavily intoxicated 33-year-old man. The man was arrested and transported to Lillooet cells to safely sober up.
