Attempted break-and-enter at Municipal Hall

Staff report
July 6, 2022 9:13am

Squamish RCMP are investigating an attempted break-and-enter at the District of Squamish.

On June 29, Squamish RCMP received a report of an attempted break-and-enter at the Municipal Hall on Second Ave.  There was tampering of the lock and there was damage to the door frame, police say. The investigation is ongoing.

On June 28, Squamish RCMP also received a report of two trucks that had been broken into in the 1500 block of Pemberton Avenue. No items were taken from the vehicle, but the windows were broken to gain access. There was limited video surveillance but the suspect is described as male, approximately 170 pounds and was wearing a green jacket.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to the website www.solvecrime.ca
