Three new buildings proposed in business park

Staff report
July 16, 2022 11:17am

The District of Squamish has received a Development Permit application for three new industrial buildings located in the middle of the Sea to Sky Business Park.

The site is located in the middle of the Sea to Sky Business Park, with frontage along Queens Way and is currently undeveloped. The application seeks to allow for the construction of three light industrial buildings with mezzanines, and 18 separate units. The proposed buildings will have a combined total gross floor area of 5654 square metre.

The development is located in the Used Goods Industrial, which permits light industrial uses such as building supply outlets, heavy equipment sales, motor vehicle repair and service shops.

Vehicle parking has been calculated based on warehouse use and accessory office use. As many as 70 spaces are required, but 105 parking stalls have been provided. The proposed building will be comprised of grey painted tilt-up concrete with ocean, copper, and gold accents and horizontal wood siding.
